Moving Day

It's official! We now live in our new apartment on base. The movers (all 7 of them) showed up at about 7:30am on Wednesday morning. They packed and loaded our house by 11:30 and then met us at the new place at 1:00pm. They were gone by 5:00 and our house was (and still is) in shambles!

Our first priority was to get Caden's room squared away so that we could function in it, and also have a safe place for him to play. On Wednesday night, I worked to "baby proof" all the remaining items scattered around the house while John went and cleaned out our old apartment. Today is our first full day in the new place. I still feel really unsettled, but it's coming along one room at a time. I finished unpacking and organizing the kitchen today! One room down! Here are some pictures from moving day!

Welcome to living on base! I have said that moving on base is like entering the Promise Land!

Yea!!! Glad you were finally able to make the move. No more crazy electric bills for AC!!! As you unpack, it always gets worse before it gets better. Hope it feels like "home" soon.

Caden just gets cuter by the minute.
