A Dusting of Snow

On Sunday we were surprised to find a light dusting of snow on the ground. Caden saw a LOT of snow last year, but this year we hope he might actually pay attention to it!

Upon seeing the snow, he looked around, but I think our actions (trying to get him to play with it, look at it, touch it, and our voices and excitement) distracted him. Instead of paying attention to the snow he just smiled like a kid in a candy store soaking up all the attention we were paying him. Then, he tried to take off running up the stairs and, poor guy, was NOT happy that we wouldn't let him... All was made better by a trip to Starbucks though! A coffee for Dad, a hot chocolate for Mom, and a kids chocolate milk for Caden...
Don't we all love this little move?!?
When our children make their bodies limp so that we will let go of them..
