It got worse...

As if I wasn't rattled enough from my baby deciding to vacate his crib yesterday... the day continued to bring new surprises... I didn't know at the time that I should have waited to type the post from yesterday.

After the crib incident, I was in the living room dusting and Caden was happily playing in his bedroom. I couldn't see him, but I could hear him and was aware of what he was doing. I pulled out the handy step stool and dusted the top of my entertainment center. As I walked to the trash can to throw away my dust rag I made a mental note to immediately put the stool away.... but somewhere between the stool and the trashcan I forgot about it and ended up in the laundry room.

A few minutes later (still folding laundry) I hear Caden fussing. I ignore him thinking he's frustrated with a toy... Nope. No toy. He's on the step stool and can't get down.

An hour later I walked away again.... and he of course discovers I left the cabinet under the sink unlocked.... I NEVER do that... again it was a time I made a mental note and forgot to go back.... I walked in to find him on the floor with a bottle of Clorox Kitchen Disinfectant Spray... the top loose where he'd been unscrewing it... liquid ALL over the floor, all over him, and potentially some was consumed.... I had to call the ER. This was actually the second time this week Caden had me checking labels on products for poison control information... he ate some deodorant on Sunday.... I dropped the stick. He got it... I thought he couldn't get the lid off.... and next thing I know he's eating some of it.... fun times... I didn't think he ate much and I was late for church so I opted not to call poison control on that one. He's still here so I think he's fine.

Anyway... parenting this little toddler is a lot of fun, but boy he's busy! My mom told me to make sure I'm documenting this stuff...so I had to type it up! Sorry for the picture-less posts!
