Recent Pictures

This last week has been a busy one at our house! I realized that by 25 weeks in my pregnancy with Caden I was assembling his nursery furniture in his already painted nursery.... I have yet to even pick out furniture for baby girl and if I order it now I'll be lucky if it gets here before she arrives! So, needless to say, I went into panic mode! John had to work drill this weekend so my mom, Caden, and I headed over to Florence, AL on Saturday to look at a baby store, visit the Children's Museum, and eat lunch at one of my all time favorite places!

Caden loved the museum! Here are a few pictures :

I'm one day shy of 25 weeks pregnant in this picture and Caden is putting on high heel princess shoes, haha!

After our little road trip GDaddy came over to help Nonnie paint the nursery! Here is a picture of Caden getting in a few minutes of snuggle time with GDaddy and Nonnie before they started painting. Notice the Buzz Lightyear jammies... a favorite item and gift from Grammy! Oh... and the paci... well that is a battle we've decided NOT to fight right now. We have said from day one we'd take it away on the 2nd birthday and it just didnt' seem like it was time at that point. However, Caden is only allowed to have them in his crib BUT on this particular evening Caden found them in our travel bag while G-Daddy was babysitting.... just wasn't worth the fight when he'd only had a 55 minute nap in the car ride on the way home.... :D

What a fun day!!! I totally agree on the paci front. Don't even bother! Marlon wasn't big into pacis at all and stopped using them at 18 months. A few months later, after Sienna arrived, and he saw her with pacis he all of a sudden wanted them again as well. So, there really isn't much point in taking them away now, in my opinion, since he likely will want them again once baby girl arrives. I am sure that in a few months, they will no longer be interesting ;) By the way, you look absolutely adorable with your preggo belly :) Cute shirt too!
