Caden has been counting on his own, unprompted usually while playing with toys/books. He has been counting to six for about 2 months now. He's still so young so we weren't/aren't in a hurry to hear him count higher but apparently he picked it up on his own! Riding in the car the other day with Nonnie and I Caden starts to count... no big deal, he does this all the time. Well, this particular time he didn't stop at 6.. he kept going, and going, and going and counted all the way to 10! No pauses, no breaks, and it was just as clear as day! I was floored and we oohed and aahed and praised him and he did it again!
So, I pulled out the camera this time to see if he would let me video it...and he wouldn't. Everything was "1, 2, 3, 4, booboo!" Silly boy. But toward the end of this clip he does count and this time to what I think is 11... however it wasn't as clear as his first and second performances, but oh well... Here is the clip we got:

Amelia surprised me with counting too - she does 1 - 2 - 3 all the time and the other day she just kept counting and was up to 10 - no problem - I didn't know she knew them. Guess I should keep encouraging it!
