This year we decided to attend some Halloween/Fall Parties in place of trick-or-treating. Let's face it, Caden is way to young to understand trick-or-treating and then John and I will end up with a bunch of candy we definitely don't need!
I took Caden to his day care (the CDC) for a little Halloween Party. It was really cute and fun, but all the stuff they had for the kids to play with was messy so I spent most of my time trying to keep him from ruining his costume so early in the afternoon! They had jello with noodles in it for the kids to feel around in, and a big sandbox table with flour in it, play dough, and a water table. They also had cupcakes and juice. The cupcakes were a big hit with Caden. He had two. He wanted three but I decided two was more than enough! Cupcakes are not my first choice of snack for him. I'm more of a rice cakes and raisins kind of mommy.
After the CDC party we went home to eat dinner and meet up with Dad, then headed to the fall festival at church. We hung out there for a bit and let Caden walk around and expend some energy. He loved watching the older children play. He thinks he is one of them and tries to copy what they do soemtimes.
After church we headed back home. We stopped by a neighbors house for one trick-or-treat before heading to bed. All in all it was a fun evening.
